Parents may not realize it but the first couple of years are a great time to inculcate healthy eating habits in your kids by allowing them to start savoring the various fruits and vegetables so that they continue these food even as the enter toddlerdom and preschool years.

The grocery aisles are filled with toddler snacks and Gerber Graudates seems to occupy a big chunk of the area – no way you could miss out on the puffs, cookies, crunchies and so on. I am sure many of these have very little nutritious quality but I would not bar you from buying them – just be cognizant of the quantity – moderation is key. Also remember that kids should not take in more 1500mg of sodium per day.
